I have a deffered judgment in Iowa does this rule me out for becoming an Insurance Agent?

When I was 18 I was arrested for 2nd degree theft in the state of Iowa for stealing from my job. Currently I work for state farm calling and doing free auto quotes my boss wants to make me full time however he does not know about my record and I dont want to bring it up and have it effect the possibiliy of a job but I also dont wanna pay all the money just to be let down.
