Health Insurance= Cheaper Car Insurance?
I did an online quote with Progressive. Will they accept Accidental Medical Insurance? Because I heard that if you have your own health insurance, your insurance policy will be cheaper. In order to get car insurance that is under $200 a month living in a city , it is required that I do show proof of a health insurance policy. Will this do?
Relevant answers please:) Thanks

Yes you want your health care provider as primary on your auto policy. Be careful though you first need to get a letter from the health insurer that they will allow you to do this. Then you will need to make sure you don’t change health insurance companies and not be afforded that coverage anymore.
Whoever told you that having health insurance lowers the costs of your car insurance, is making that up. The only exception would be, if your state allows you to waive medical cover under your auto policy if you have the appropriate health coverage.
The PROBLEM with that is, the health insurer can’t be “made” to cover auto injuries, if they say they exclude them.
This means, not that you’re getting a ‘discount’ on your auto insurance, but that you’re volunteering to be uninsured for medical costs under your policy, because you’re counting on someone else to pick them up.
This is the exact kind of case, where “do it yourself” insurance is backfiring. What you REALLY need here, is the advice of a local agent. Go to the agent locator button on the progressive website, and type in your zip code, and go talk to a local agent.
THAT’S how you get relevant answers.
You can get health AND car insurance from http://www.autoinsuranceproviders.esuperfind.com/carins.php?id=m3y227
they are all local agents, it’s easier to deal with when they are local to you.
